Booked a consultation?

Can’t I just sell it or give it back to the resort?

If you have a consultation with us coming up, here is what other owners found before your call.

Not booked yet? Call (877) 354-4321 and we will find you a time. Already spoke with us? Call and we will pick up where you left off.

The short answer

Many owners try both first. In our Timeshare Exit Study of more than 10,000 ownership experiences, 65.5% had already gone back to their resort, and 38% had tried listing it for sale.

What fits your ownership is one of the first things your consultation looks at.

In our founder’s words

The resort has lawyers protecting its interests. Who is protecting yours?

Timeshare developers have lawyers.

Those lawyers protect the developer’s interests. They advise the company, review agreements, protect its legal position and represent their client, the resort.

They do not represent the timeshare owner.

That matters even if the resort offers a surrender, deed-back, take-back or another proposed resolution.

The fact that a resort offers an option does not change whose interests the resort is protecting.

A proposed surrender, deed, release or other agreement may affect the owner’s contractual rights, financial obligations, potential claims or other interests.

In my opinion, the owner should have an attorney whose professional duties are owed directly to the owner.

Worth knowing before your call

Resort offered to take it back?

Ask for the terms in writing and bring them to your call. We will walk through them with you so you can compare your options side by side.

Tried already? Tell us.

If you have contacted your resort or listed it for sale, bring what you heard. It is useful information, not a strike against you.

A lawyer on your side

If you move forward with us, you have a licensed attorney at the leading timeshare consumer-rights law firm that shares common ownership with Newton Group, with a written Letter of Representation.

Everything in writing

Your full cost comes to you in writing before you commit to anything.

Answered one to one

What a consultation answers

These depend on your own ownership and situation, so they are answered one to one, not on a web page.

Your consultation

How a consultation works

1

We confirm your time

You may get a text or a call from us before your consultation. Reply or pick up and you are all set.

2

We learn your situation

Your resort, how you bought, what you pay each year, whether there is a loan, and what you want to happen next.

3

We walk you through your options

You will hear plainly which options may fit your ownership and whether we think our process is right for you.

4

Everything in writing

If you decide to move forward, the full cost comes to you in writing before you commit to anything, and you sign a separate engagement with a licensed attorney who represents you.
